Who are we ?

Women In Pipe (WIP) is an association founded in 2022 by passionate and committed women from the pipeline construction sector. Fluid transport networks (pipeline, piping) play a crucial role in our society and face ongoing challenges, particularly in terms of human resources.

Regardless of the sectors (oil, gas, or others), the professions related to the construction, operation, and maintenance of these networks are little known, especially among women.

We are determined to drive change.

WIP is a bold initiative with the primary goals of promoting these professions and enhancing the role of women in the industry. We firmly believe it is time to explore new approaches and find innovative solutions to generate interest and attract diverse talent.

We aim to inspire, educate, and support the talents of tomorrow so they can find their path and succeed in the « Pipe » professions.

Our Goals

Women In Pipe (WIP) aims to transform the landscape of careers related to the construction, operation, and maintenance of fluid transport networks. To achieve this, the association has set several key objectives:

  1. Promotion of Pipeline Careers: WIP is committed to raising awareness of the various careers available in the pipeline sector, highlighting their diversity and importance. We aim to spark the interest of younger generations in these often-overlooked professions.
  2. Enhancing Female Representation: The association works to increase the visibility and recognition of women in these traditionally male-dominated fields. We strongly believe that diverse perspectives enrich the sector and foster innovation.
  3. Support and Mentorship: WIP aims to provide resources, training, and mentoring opportunities to individuals looking to enter the sector. We want to create a support network that helps overcome challenges and fosters career growth.
  4. Raising Awareness and Educating: We seek to educate the public and industry stakeholders on the importance of diversity and equity. Through events, workshops, and communication campaigns, we aim to highlight the benefits of a diverse workforce.
  5. Strategic Partnerships: WIP aims to collaborate with companies, educational institutions, and other organizations to create synergies and develop initiatives that promote integration into the pipeline sector.

Together, let’s promote pipeline careers and build the talent networks of tomorrow!
